Like so many online entrepreneurs, my business absolutely popped off when the pandemic hit.
While the world was crashing and burning around me - my business had never been better.
Because the need to have an amazing online presence had suddenly become more important than ever before.
And as someone who was running a social media agency, I was completely floored by the sudden demand for my expertise.
It was AMAZING.
I had ended up with my dream business, yet somehow I was MISERABLE.
I couldn’t believe it.
I’d spent so much time wishing for a full calendar and a massive roster of clients.
But once that dream came true - I realized that it was completely unsustainable.
And it was actually about a year ago that I finally said, “I just can’t do this anymore.”
I started to pivot and I never looked back.
So today I want to talk about the changes I made to make my business model more sustainable.
What do you think of when you hear the words Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder?
...Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
ADHD is massively stereotyped, right?
While the stigma is this hyperactive, disruptive kid in school that gets diagnosed at an early age, that simply DID NOT happen for me.
Think of a 29-year-old Social Media Strategist instead.
In this blog, I want to talk to you guys about my recent diagnosis of ADHD, what that means for me, and what that means as a business owner too.
As a woman, it's hard to get diagnosed because our symptoms are completely different. I've always suffered from anxiety but there was always something coupled with that.
The reason why I think I wasn't diagnosed early on in life, is I didn't have the traditional symptoms of ADHD.
I wasn't hyperactive
I wasn't aggressive
I wasn’t loud or disruptive
In fact, I actually internalized a lot of those feelings.
Do you ever feel like you need to switch off? From business, social media, or just in general?
You regularly feel:
SUPER burnt out
Routinely stressed and anxious
Constantly exhausted and lifeless
Don’t worry friend, it happens to the best of us.
Today I'm going to talk to you ALL about where I've been on social media.
In case you follow me over on Instagram and Tiktok, you may have noticed that I've gone completely GHOST over the last month...
And that’s for a very good reason.
I want to explain that to you today.
We're all human.
We all go through these experiences in life and big changes can happen that can often change your priorities.
Not only did I have to devote a lot of time and energy to my personal life, but to serving my clients, my business, and my customers.
Social media just HAD to take a backseat.
I was in the process of a BIG house move while working on some things in my business...
